Fall Fun

So, maybe I'm not so good at this blogging thing! Time has just gotten away from me and it's already the middle of October! YIKES! I feel like there is still so much to do this fall-it is one of my favorite seasons, you know??!! I feel like we haven't captured enough memories together as a family...still have to go to the pumpkin patch, apple orchard (with Daddy), pile up some beautiful leaves and the list goes on and on and on...

We did, however, make it the apple orchard with the Karaffa side of the family a few weekends ago! My mom was like a kid in a candy store-she'd never been to MacQueens before and she had so much fun! We picked a whole bushel of apples and split them up among me, Mom, and Kelly. The girls had a ton of fun eating the apples while picking! The weather could have been a little better, but oh well! We were making memories...that's all that counts!

On another note, Mike and I are celebrating 9 years of marriage today! Thanks to Uncle Matt coming over to stay with the girls, we were able to catch a yummy lunch at Chipotle and coffee at Starbucks! 9 years...WOW! We challenged each other to spend $25 for our anniversary. I had fun picking out little things for Mike that I knew would bless him-ingredients for a chocolate eclair cake, some men's body wash (it's a little girly smelling in our shower!), an organic magazine, and some Octoberfest beer!! Fun times for sure...I love that man so much...he's such a great provider to us and such an awesome and proud Daddy! Here's to the next 9!

Lazy Days of Summer Have Ended...

We had a lot of fun with the girls this summer! At times it was very challenging trying to entertain an almost 5 year old and corral a 1 1/2 year old (with a tremendous amount of energy!) But, we did it, survived it and made a ton of great memories! Summer was so relaxing for us and since we've started up the school year, I have come to miss those lazy days! Now mornings start a little after 6am for me...and a little after 7am for Ella. We are adjusting well and Ella seems to be having a ball in Kindergarten. Mike and I are so proud of how grown up she's become over the summer! 5 years old is really a "big girl" age! I don't know where those 5 years have gone, though! Julia continues to keep me on my toes...never a dull moment with that girl! She's boisterous, energetic, and a cute little stinker! This is such a fun (and trying) age as she's beginning to really put words together and test out her independence! We'll keep you posted on what's going on around here...
